No one ever said anyone in the group is not "qualified". I guess you don't understand the purpose of diversity in an advisory group.

Nor do I apparently because I don't care if they were 4 men resembling Rich Uncle Pennybags as long as they are not only qualified but do their job without prejudice. As I said before, people are more concerned with what group dynamic you belong to rather than if you're the best person for the job.

Are these ladies going to receive compensation for this? Or is it another no-pay deal like cheerleaders?

Having been an officer at fortune 500 company I can tell you it's long been a problem in Corporate America that the higher you go up in the food chain the less diverse it becomes. You see fewer women in leadership positions after a certain level and even fewer minorities. I had a CEO that once said that leadership should reflect the diversity of it's customers or it is a direct reflection on that company's credibility. His argument was that if you can't find qualified individuals of all races, you're not looking hard enough.

These women might very well be qualified but I find it hard to believe there were no other women out there of other races just as qualified.
Sorry, you are very qualified and first to apply but we are looking for someone not white.

If you are hiring someone based on the first application I would say your managerial skills probably suck. I have done a ton of hiring and I always make sure I have a wide variety of candidates to get the best fit even if that means finding someone early who is qualified.

However, they may have been in "rush" mode as someone pointed out above. If that was the case, I hope they are being diverse in their search for candidates. That's all you can ask.

Goodell dodged more punches at that press conference today than a washed up, punch drunk Gerry Cooney did in his career.

The players hate & don't trust the Commish, so I'm betting he steps down or is asked to retire before next season. Players, former players & coaches are ripping him to shreds after the BS rope a dope he pulled today!! Nothing's changing until he's gone.

Saw this comment in an article about the players bashing Goodell after the presser..

Don't forget the NFLPA. They are the ones who make it hard on the NFL itself with all their safeguards for the players even when they are in the wrong. So keep after Goodell to hide the fact that it was and is some players that are committing the crimes and don't expect to pay for them and cry that they have been wronged. Typical, don't blame the criminal, blame someone else. Especially since they may be some of the next ones to commit crimes.

Totally agree with it. Until the union steps up nothing will ever change.

Of course the players hate him. His is the leader chosen by the Owners. He negotiated a new CBA that was lopsided towards the Owners. He is the one who has to make all of the hard decisions in the league. He is the one who diciplines the players. No one likes working for "The Man" and a NFL player is no different.

Also when he gets it wrong he is the one who takes all of the flack. Nonetheless the Owners love this guy. He is making them billions and takes all of the heat when something goes wrong. No way they let him leave.

And for $40-50mill per year any one of us would be more than happy to swap places with him.

While I disagree with some of what you said it's just a matter of time before he's gone, which I say is next year. That OTL piece that came out today sounds pretty incriminating & I won't be surprised if the owner & a few others from the Ravens get in trouble as well. This whole mess smells like coverup to me!

Which the NFLPA and subsequently the players agreed to. Can't blame Goodell here. The players don't have to play in the NFL. There are other leagues out there not to mention that they are welcome to branch out on their own and start their own league.
