I guess I should have put a :D on my post but I really didn't think I would need to. Do you know of any kicker or punter who is ever held in high esteem by the other players on the team?

I was kidding.

50 cent sucks Tupac rules!

Maybe DG is just getting rid of the jerks on the team... one by one.

Any Grammatica = Jerk.

How I laughed when he hurt himself.

Another offensive stalwart bites the dust. First Leon Blake, now Jumping Billy. The remaining Cards will be

"SCARED STRAIGHT"

And now the competition for Olindo Mare heats up.

So what you're saying is Dennis Green is an Obsessive Compulsive personality who demands tidy locker rooms from his players?

Grammatica presented a problem—

The guy has a trick back. Back problems have a way of going away, and then re-appearing without warning.

No matter how good a kicker he was, would good would you feel knowing all year that Bill was one tweak away from not being able to kick, one tweak away from having to find a replacement on a moments notice. No thanks.

Sorry Bill.

They said on Fox Networks he already cleaned his locker.

Also mentioned in AZSports Report was that the Cards planned to tender offers to some of our RFA's - I didn't get the entire list but heard Marcus Bell's name and think I heard Renaldo Hill's.

Wilson? Jurecki said he would get tendered but Jurecki also thought Billy G would get tendered.

I think how the Wilson thing pans out may shine a brighter light on what the Cards are planning come draft time. If they tender him, I believe they don't pick Taylor...if they don't tender Wilson, it puts Taylor up front with Fitzgerald.

I have a hard time imagining that they wouldn't tender Wilson, and thus make him a UFA without compensation. So... it may or may not mean much if on draft day they fixate on Taylor.

I think one of the things that makes Taylor such an entiing pick for me is that we'd have he AND Wilson AND Jackson. I like the flexibility that gives us.

They will tender Wilson to see if he can shine this year, its only his 3rd year to give up on him right away.

Personally, I can't imagine they wouldn't tender him either but if they don't, I think it may show how the Cards are leaning for the draft...or how they want everyone to think they are leaning.

The question, I guess, is based on his play last year, does Wilson really deserve to be tendered? Overall I was unimpressed but I also stated in another thread that I think he will be pushed harder in the classroom to be more prepared come game day...which to me was alot of his problem. He didn't prepare the way he needed to and thought he could get by on his talents alone...and in the NFL, there are very very few players who are THAT talented, and most of those spend alot of time preparing anyways.

I would think if they were going to tender him (he is RFA not UFA) they would have already informed him of that so he wouldn;t clean out his locker.

Have no idea on second question but my guess is because he cleaned out his locker, he is not going to get an offer.

He was really a RFA and with the Cards not tendering him an offer he became a UFA, making him clean his locker.

What is your problem with Gramatica? Yes, they sometimes act like morons on the field, but who cares? I've seen you compare Gramatica with Keyshawn, Sapp, and Simeon as all being a--holes. Did Billy or Martin knock up your sister or something?

Wow, another move that I didn't think would happen. I really like what I saw from Rackers and hoped he would have a fair shot at making the team. Looks like he is currently the man right now.

See the other thread - Adrian is being asked to lose 10 pounds so he can take a shot at CB. This would pave the way for the Cards to draft Taylor.

Regarding the question of "why are folks do down on Gramatica?" - It becomes a business decision reminiscent of what happened to Wally Pipp. Guillermo couldn't play. The Cards brought in Rackers. Rackers' FG percentage was roughly the same as Gramatica's, and he kicked off farther. Add to that cap-friendliness and you can see the rationale behind this decision.
