Clint Eastwood's Next is Gran Torino
Source: Variety
March 19, 2008

Clint Eastwood will next direct and star in Gran Torino for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures. Variety says the film is scheduled for a December release.

The trade adds that details of "Torino" are being kept under tantalizingly tight wraps. Existence of the film, and Eastwood's role, were only revealed on Tuesday when Warner quietly dated the movie for sometime in December.

Producers are Rob Lorenz, Eastwood's partner at Malpaso Productions, and Billy Gerber. Executive producers are Jenette Kahn and Adam Richman at Double Nickel Ent.

Here's what the movie might be about: Pop Critics' story

The older Clint gets, the more he looks like a taller, meaner Henry Fonda. Just go remake On Golden Pond already.

I'll be glad when you dead you rascal you ;)
After seeing another commercial, it has shades of Karate Kid as well. Old guy takes in kid, helps him get the girl and battle a gang of meanies.

Just saw it last night in a packed Cine Capri. 5 stars; it was outstanding. I'm a huge Eastwood fan, and everything he does is great. Clint was a loveable Archie Bunker with a lot more intelligence (the entire theater was rolling with every racial slur). Gran Torino went way beyond one posters comparison to Karate Kid. If this is in fact Eastwood's swan song than he went out with a bang. Clint still kicks ass even in his seventies.

Did he say "do you feel lucky, vato?"

Cause if he didn't then I'm not seeing it.

ABSOLUTELY FANFREAKINGTASTIC! This was a great movie. Clint shows that he can adapt with the times and then some. His dialogue in this movie is just about the funniest stuff I have heard in a long long time. He was superb and the movie was beyond stellar!

Kudos Clint! You still rock!
