After seeing another commercial, it has shades of Karate Kid as well. Old guy takes in kid, helps him get the girl and battle a gang of meanies.

Actually, after having seen the film, it more like an updated "Unforgiven" (which was awesome.) It left me feeling like I've seen this film before, and there were no surprises. I even pegged the ending having read no press or spoilers.

Good enough film, but not "rock your socks" kind of stuff in my opinion.

3 stars out of 5.

ABSOLUTELY FANFREAKINGTASTIC! This was a great movie. Clint shows that he can adapt with the times and then some. His dialogue in this movie is just about the funniest stuff I have heard in a long long time. He was superb and the movie was beyond stellar!

Kudos Clint! You still rock!

But did he say "Do you feel lucky, vato?"

I'll be honest, I'm not a Clint Eastwood fan. I never have been. The only movie I really liked with him in it was the one where he was secret service after Malcovich.

And I grew up with a ton of westerns as a kid with my dad, and he loved Clint. I just don't appreciate him at all, so I sadly don't care a bit about this film, and it's probably very good.

The guys in the movie are Hmong American, so I say no.

I thought you would love:

"Right turn, Clyde."

That was totally better than Pacino/DeNiro.

And are you implying that Adam doesn't have a man card and needs one?

Finally watched this one. Good movie.

Very quotable, this is what Gunney from Heartbreak Ridge would be like as a retired widower.

Tons and tons of racist remarks from Eastwood which got a ton of laughs of course.

Liked how the stereotype racist stuff coming out of Eastwood's mouth was supported by making every actor white, Mexican, and black be blatant stereotypes.

Best scene of the movie was when he saved Sui from the black guys on the street corner. Funny stuff. Half expected it to end with "Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down."

"get off my lawn."

That in the trailer alone convinced me I'll never watch this movie. Get off my lawn? Come on...please.

Eastwood looks like he's chewing the hell out of the scenery, based on the trailer.

When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I thought it was a joke, a spoof. But I did watch it and was very impressed. Probably not Oscar material here, but a strong action/drama nonetheless.

Yep it was great. Clint Eastwood is so good in this, I loved all his little digs and jokes, ie "Wjat are all you fish heads looking at?" lol

This was so NOT Dirty Harry 6 or whatever. It's a Clint Eastwood film. If you've ever enjoyed a Clint Eastwood film, you'll love this one just as much.

Just saw it. What a great movie, probably my favorite Eastwood movie along with Unforgiven. Everybody who won't see it based on the trailer--or because you think Eastwood has played the same shallow character for the last 40 years--is really missing out.

I have this at home to watch it when I get a chance.

Clint Eastwood on Inside the Actor's Studio was really really good.
