So, Steve sugfers from the same biases as everyone else. He's merely able to recognize and admit it.

Exactly! That's pretty much the reason he's one of my favorite posters here. We all have biases and we are all wrong at some point. The difference between a good poster and a terrible one is the poster's ability to recognize these things and admit it.

As far as Hill goes, I disagree with Steve- I think Hill was never overrated. I think a lot of people forget just how deadly Hill's crossover was back in his Detroit days. I'll need to look for some clips, but I remember him regularly going to the right, crossing over to the left like no other player that size.

To be fair, what player do you like?

PJ Tucker, KJ, Ricky Sobers, Walter Davis, Nate Thurmond, Alvan Adams, Rick Barry, Kareem, Magic, Bird, McHale, Bob Cousy, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, George Gervin, Darnell Hillman (loved the hops and the hair), Walt Frazier, Bobby Jones, Dick Van Arsdale, Jack Sikma, Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Sean Elliott, Tim Duncan (minus the whining), Tony Parker, Kevin Durant, Paul Westphal, Dennis Johnson, Don Buse, Elvin Hayes, Jerry West, Grant Hill, Steve Nash and Amare come immediately to mind but I'm sure there's several hundred more.

The list of players that I dislike is much shorter - Luis Scola, Dennis Rodman, Bruce Bowen, Manu Ginobili, Kevin Garnett, D Wade, Karl Malone, Rony Seikaly, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin and a few dozen more.

Steve is one of my favorite posters in spite of his stubbornness. :p

I hate stubborn people. Let's hunt him down, strap him to a chair and make him watch "Identity Thief" every night till his eyes bleed (two nights, tops).

:) That bad, huh? I haven't seen it and I guess I'll stay away.

You still dislike Scola after a full season in the Suns uniform?
I was right there with you initially, but I gotta admit Scola has won me over, kind of like Danny Ainge back in the day.

I can appreciate some of the things he did for us but I absolutely despise the flopping and the acting which has gone a long way to ruining this sport and he has been one of the biggest culprits. Scola toned it down quite a bit this past year but he still does it. I don't hate him like I used to but the acting along with the fact he's a pretty poor defender makes it hard for me to like the guy.

I liked Scola's game before he played for the Suns. He's a dirt worker.

I don't think AzStevenCal need worry about Scola remaining a Sun as I believe the Suns will trade him for value when he become eligible to be traded.

In terms of Hill I just put more stock in what players and coaches who played with him every single day have said. It's the exact opposite of what your suggesting. Plus, I watched almost every Suns game the guys played in and I never got the impression he was ever dogging it but the last part of my statement would be just my opinion. The first part appears to be fact unless you assume everybody was not telling the truth about the guy.
