Oh about those goat o-linemen:

Turns out that it hasn’t mattered. Despite Palmer’s average pass going a league-high 11.1 yards in the air, the Cardinals have done an incredible job of keeping him upright and unmolested. Palmer has had 2.68 seconds to throw before his passes, the fifth-longest rate in the league. And he’s been sacked just once across 91 dropbacks this season, producing a 1.1 percent sack rate that’s the second lowest in football.

That is an awesome article Chris! I really don't believe any of us, nor any other NFL fan and "expert", can truly appreciate what this team has done and the level they've been playing at since BASK and Palmer have taken command. Who knows how long they'll remain at this level, but, the facts are undeniable. Even if there is a slight drop-off (which, c'mon... we know it's inevitable.), we have set the standard so high that we should still be one of the leading teams in the league. Incredible...

Great article Chris-------thanks for posting it for us to read. The author did very little by way of speculation. The tables provided the compelling evidence of how much improved this team has been from the way last year's version started the season.

Of course, all this hangs on keeping Palmer upright and healthy. We all know that this can change on any one freak play, (ala last season against the Rams). It really is comforting to know, however, that the hard work by Keim to strengthen our O-line depth is beginning to pay some very nice dividends, and while they may be unable to avoid the occurrence of that 'freak' play, they have certainly increased the ability of our O-line to consistently protect Palmer from intentional mayhem. Hats off to our FO for doing what they can to control what they can control.

Dominating the red zone. San Francisco became the first team to stop the Cardinals in the red zone this season, with Arizona kicking a field goal solely because there was one second left on the clock at the end of the first half.

That's awesome. The one time we were stopped in the red zone was because there was only one second left on the clock.
