we all know how big the injury could be for us, so if anyone has any updates can we keep them going in this thread? it's a lot easier than having to look through the game thread to find out. last i heard it wasn't too serious and they were keeping him out of tonight's game as a precaution. that could mean that he was able to go and they just wanted to play it safe, or that they were feeding the fans a line of crap as the playoffs are just about to start. hopefully he's back in action for Game 1.

if we're gonna do ANY kind of damage, we're gonna need pre-All Star game Grant Hill. Dude's been worn down the entire second half of the season.

Hey man, I have to give props to the Suns training staff.

Steve Nash is a zombie playing like a living person...Grant Hill was left for dead and you are LUCKY to have pre-All Star game Grant Hill at any time in the season since he hasn't played more games in his career than he has missed, and good lord, look what they've done with Shaq.

Your training staff deserves a championship, ffs. Just amazing.

Can we borrow them to look after Ariza and Bynum for a couple of weeks?

I gotta say, Gary Vitti and his staff have to be the most over-rated training staff in the league. Do any Lakers (besides Kobe who is super-human) EVER come back early or when they're supposed to? I mean, this year with Bynum and Ariza, previous years with Mihm, Odom, Kwame.

Never. We get fooled because Kobe could play through an in-game amputation, so we forget that Mihm has missed a career, and everyone seems to come back a few weeks to months to never after expected.

Unreal. Vitti and crew need to poach some Suns trainers, stat!

Although, Vitti creates some of the most incredible contraptions to help Kobe deal with his injuries. Just weird, medieval kind of stuff like the shoulder thing he made a couple years back. Again though, that might just be that Kobe is freaking advanced DNA or something.

Sounds like Grant doesn't even discount the possibility of playing Wednesday against Portland. In response to Mike D'Antoni stating he would probably keep him out of the game, Hill's response was "I'll override that".

why doesn't Grant Hill realize that proving he's not broken down anymore isn't as important as being as healthy as possible so he can try to win a title? No way in hell he should play on Wednesday.

Good idea! Would the Lakers accept Marks, our trade exception (if we still have one) and Atlanta's first rounder in return?

That's one healthy, championship-proven big man and the 15th pick for two injury-prone guys.

Bargain, right?
