Much as I like Josh, Lefty seems to be special but then we wouldn't have Pace & Johnson.

Either it's done and second guess is pointless

The one reason I liked the trade back (before the Bryant pick and giving up the 4th rounder) was because it did show some advanced scouting by the Cardinals. We didn't know what we had in McCown, we have two 2nd year QB's already, we needed a DE, and had needs at other positions. I was hoping for a CB like Woolfolk or S Knight with the pick because it was a deep year for receivers instead of Johnson, but I will live with it. The one good thing about not picking a QB was that this years QB class is stacked with very good talent and should be easy to pick up our QB of the future if McCown doesn't show promise.

I appologize if this post is all over the place, I am really tired.

With all due respect, the QB's coming out this year aren't nearly as impressive as Leftwich. I just felt he was too good to pass up, especially considering the problems we've had at QB for 15 years now. Its next to impossible to sign FA QBs that are any good, because they very rarely reach free agency. I do think both Pace and Johnson will end up being very good players, I just think Leftwich will be great. Then we could have traded McCown for a draft pick. If we draft anything but defense next year I'll be pretty disappointed. We need to draft 2 CB, 2 DT, and 2 DE and maybe sign one of each from FA.

Sure, I see how "us fans" agree on so many things here on this board, I can just imagine things in the Cards War Room with "us fans" on the clock next year. You think the Vikings looked silly.....

With the #6 overall pick the Cardinals choose:

Byron Leftwich...er..no..Terrell Suggs....wait..uh...they take Terrence Newman

It's official, the newest Cardinal is now....what...again.....

Sorry, I just had to chime in on my Razorbacks.

Mock isn't a bad QB, he just had no running game behind him & I believe an very young offensive line in front of him. I am glad they didnt bring in Young, He might have been the spark to get the UT running game going.

As for Mack Brown, he may be just another Jim Donnan, He will get you 10 wins a year. If you are satisfied with that, then he is ok. But if you ever want to do anymore than that, you need to look for a new coach.

Even though we ran all over Texass, I did come away very impressed with LB Derrick Johnson. He seemed to be everywhere.
