The reason Skelton will rule is because he finds Chris Long a little slow off the line giving his time to go through his first 3 progressions.

The reason Skelton will rule is because his instinct to counter a blitz is a 30 yard lob to Fitz

My thoughts exactly.

Now while he made the wrong read... I did like how he had some air on that throw and dropped it right where it needed to be. If Fitz actually ran that fly patter he would have a chance to catch that ball.

Skelton isn't ready mentally to be the starter. Hence the wrong throw mentioned here. He will make many more of these if he plays the next couple of weeks. However you have to love his physical attributes. The kid just looks like a NFL QB and can make all of the throws.

fingers crossed we see this combination QB/WR work out. It'd be a great luxury to not have to draft a QB in the first round this coming offseason. I'm a skeptic of any rookie QB, but I liked what I saw from Skelton today with his poise. Not a lot of people will talk about it, but his quick check-down to the hot receiver when blitzed was a pass so fast it reminded me of Warner a little. Great head on that play, I know it didn't amount to too many yards, but plays like that become sacks and fumbles when Scud and Hall are in the game.

Never underestimate the power of positive yards, right?

BOOSH!

Liked what I saw out of the kid. He found the open recievers, had great poise, and throws a nice ball.

If he starts next week, he will probably do horribly, but hope, is hope. I would rather see the pains of learning the position from a rookie who can actually hold and throw an NFL football.

Hope.

Watching the long ball to Fitz along the sidelines, the ball was perfectly placed for Fitz only, if he had continued the route... for some reason he stopped turn around while the ball went to the only place it could for a Fitz catch... maybe he has learned to expect a scud and backed off?

The reason Skelton will rule is because the team will change hot routes to include deep routes and draft faster receivers.
