At first I thought this was fake (the video is very "produced"). However, major media outlets (Time, USATODAY) starting reporting it and this was put out there by Franky Zappata. He is the same guy that invented those crazy water jet based hover boards. He calls this the Flyboard. I would use the term hover board loosely because it appears he is using a turbine engine with a fuel pack on his back. It's has more in common with an old school jet pack versus a hover board but the thing appears to work. Evidently, it can go 93 MPH and reach 10,000 feet.
