Sure you do, anything else looks cowardly. He's by no means the only pitcher to take an aggressive stance if it looks like the batter is about to charge him. As for the "verbal abuse", I lip read and I'm pretty sure he just asked him his favorite color. Players talk all game long and they all say some pretty abusive things.

But right after beaning them? Typically if a pitcher hits a guy on accident they make an apologetic gesture (or turn their back and ignore the batter entirely), they dont basically dare them to a fight.... and when they do, a fight should not be an unexpected result.
And just as you say that anything else looks cowardly... Quentin was in the same boat once Greinke started barking at him.
You see it differently, Matt Kemp (who I am shocked didnt get suspended for hit post game antics) did too... but the Baseball Gods saw fit to hurl a bolt into Greinke and punish Zach for his hubris.
