Graves, Grimm & Miller getting canned was just enough to make me happy today.

Peace out, clowns.

Does this indicate we go outside the team to find a coach?....or does this put a stamp of approval on Horton?

Grimm is gone. I am less happy about the Whiz firing, but with Graves and Grimm out he door, at least I feel like we will truly be getting a fresh start.

It doesn't look like any of the defensive coaches were fired.

I think Reich got the shaft. Everyone else has been dead to me for 2 months now.

my mistake on saying all Off coaches released: TE coach Freddie Kitchens was not. He's here at least for now.

However, there are now SEVEN head coach vacancies in the league and possibly up to three more on the way. I would think Horton has a pretty decent chance at landing one of these.

Of course, the new HC and GM can always make changes to the defensive staff and bring in their own guys if they want too.

Can't help but think the defense will suffer some collateral damage as a result of these changes.

With all the firings it is the Grimm firing that I am most happy about.

McNulty got the biggest shaft. The Cards denied him from being the Bucs OC and less than a year later they fire him. I'd be pissed if I were him. That's not right.

Had to happen. The offense has been absolutely the WORST I have seen in many, many years if not forever. This season has left a putrid stench that will last for a while in my nostrils. Almost made me yearn for Buddy's "system" a few years back. Well, not quite :D

Grimm gone gets me giddy.

That closes the door on a long, long, absoutely fruitless journey. What a freaking sham that guy is. Mothereffer and his Springsteen moment.

Both moves were long overdue. Miller never looked like a competent OC. Grimm's troubles are well documented. Time to get some new blood in here to fix this putrid offense.

Re: the offensive staff mass firings - Some weird stuff coming out of NFL Net was that, as a group, the offensive players on the Cardinals "didn't see it coming."

How did that happen? From every standpoint - stats, game tape etc. - we were pretty close to rock bottom in every offensive aspect of the game. What did they expect?
