What. A. Game. That's the kind of win one would expect to really help the team chemistry. Let's see where we go from here!

Channing's offense was non-existent, but he was our best defender, at least after halftime he was.

The overtime periods had Frye-Warrick-Hedo as our front line, so at least Gentry is trying to figure stuff out. Warrick was terrific. And Hedo had his best game with us so far. Decent 2nd half defense on Randolph too.

Great hard-fought win. Didn't think that could happen down by 4 with a few seconds left in regulation. When JRich hit that three I didn't think it would matter. Then that freak inbounds play that almost sealed the game for the Grizzlies. But give credit to Nash for realizing quickly enough what happened and fouling just before the time expired. Then Hill and JRich did their thing, and an hour later the Suns win the game. JRich was huge for us tonight and I expect to see more of that regularly throughout the season. I just hope the wins will come a little easier.

The Suns won this game on guts, good coaching and big plays. A huge win for the Suns. Too many heroes to mention but Dragic and JRich were huge not to mention Nash. Nice to see Turkoglu contribute. The Suns need to find a way to get Dragic back in the lineup in the final minutes.

Agree. Hopefully this will be the turnaround game like last season after they beat the Mavs at home.

I'd be surprised if that's the case. Not to take anything away from a very hard fought and entertaining game but that was a very tired Memphis team that we outlasted there. They don't have the kind of depth we have (few teams do) and they were playing their 3rd road game in 4 nights. They had 4 guys who logged more minutes tonight than any of our players and it really showed in their late game activity level.

Just got finished watching the game.. Well, sort of. I went out to dinner with my girlfriend so I recorded it on my DVR. I made sure to record the post game show just in case it ran long. The recording stopped with one minute left in OT. :bang: Then I crossed my fingers and pulled up Suns.com expecting to be disappointed.

That tells me that it's good coaching. Why must you tear down everything so casually?

It really was a fun game to watch and there were a lot of positives. Hedo showed he might actually be able to hit that catch and shoot 3 pointer we so desperately need from him in addition to occasionally setting up his teammates. Frye couldn't make a basket but he was incredibly active on the defensive end and very effective at that. Nash played with a lot of energy in that second half and also showed well defensively. JR was terrific and Dragic was a human pinball out there. Childress and Warrick once again showed that they are good pickups for this organization. And so on.

However, I see no reason to pretend we just knocked off the world champs in their prime. This was a tired Memphis team that was playing without their head coach and it was pretty obvious to me that we benefitted from that. It's nice to see our depth pay dividends but we really can't point to that game and feel confident that we've solved our end-of-game woes. Maybe we have but getting lucky against a tired Memphis team isn't necessarily proof of that IMO.

If I had really wanted to drag everyone down I'd have mentioned Lopez. What I saw out of him tonight was nothing short of depressing (alarming might be a better word). Every time Conley would brush Nash off using Lopez I had nightmare flashes of the picks Longley used to set on Kidd. Other teams will notice Robin's lack of awareness out there and they'll all start doing that to us. Unless Robin wakes up he's going to become a huge defensive liability for us. If Siler loses 20 more pounds Robin could well find himself back on the bench.

wow, that was a wild an woolie game!

I think Alvin is finding out he should play Hedo and Warrick together - seemed to work well in the 2nd half.

Robin Lopez - again - big disappointment. As I said before, I've never seen a 7ft'er miss so many easy lay ups at the basket!

No one thinks it a bit strange that they put time back on the clock at the end of regulation? If Gay had pulled that back in the 70's it would be game over. Either way, it made for some incredible action from Richardson. Un-freaking-believable! Loved it.

An incredible stat -
"The Suns trio of centers, Robin Lopez, Frye and rookie Garret Siler scored one point -- yes, one point -- in a combined 55 minutes."

That has to be some kind of record, Frye did redeem himself on the defensive end late in the game but sheesh how pathetic.

Bring back Collins! He needed only about 12 minutes per game to average his one point.

It's too bad you've forgotten how to enjoy the game of basketball. That was a fun game to watch.

Wow. Even from you? It must have something to do with my writing style. It was a very entertaining game to watch and that's why I referred to it as a "very hard fought and entertaining game". I very much enjoyed watching the game but is it absolutely necessary for me to delude myself into believing it was something more than what it was?

Honestly, I'm not the least bit negative until AFTER I read what you guys say in response to me. I think of myself as a very positive and upbeat person and I'm always looking for the bright side of things. I'm not really sure how I've gained this "Debbie Downer" reputation here or what to do about it.

It's not my goal to bring down the board but I just don't feel like sugar coating the truth (or the truth from my perspective). It's a good thing my wife likes me or you guys would give me a complex (if you decide to give me a complex, I prefer Apartment or Industrial). Good luck Suns and Suns fans, I hope we have a great season.

I don't mean to give you a complex, Steve. I'm just enjoying the great victory. Not the time to fret about the future of the team. There will plenty of time for that later.

In fact, why not start a thread where you can fret all season long? ;) But in the game day thread where we just pulled out a fantastic and improbable finish to win a very entertaining game, it seems out of place and Debbie Downerish. Carpe diem!
