something about this just says it's Marvel first real miss. not that I don't think it'll be good, but the action/space/comedy is a tough sell for general movie going audiences. Makes me think of a movie like Mystery Men for some reason and that movie (with stars) was a huge flop.

good to see Marvel taking some risks though. If they're going to be a behemoth in the movie world (and they already are), I want them to make movies like this and Ant-Man. If we're gonna get a buttload of comic book movies, let's at least see some out there stuff.
Loved "Galaxy Quest"!!!!

This is definitely looking a little better to me but I still think the Raccoon is stupid. LOL.

You're cool with an "extraterrestrial plant monster" though? #iamgroot :D

Actually yes. If you are going to go fantasy...go all the way. If I want to see a talking Raccoon I will watch Over the Hedge again. ;)

Actually, I could really look forward to a double feature of Guardians and Over the Hedge. Well, I could if they'd actually put Over the Hedge out on Blu Ray. We loved that movie and we're anxiously awaiting the home arrival of Guardians too, even with the talking Raccoon. And if a foul mouthed polar bear shows up wearing a thong and carrying a howitzer, I'll still watch it.

I know!!! Can someone explain to me why this movie is so ignored? I can sort of understand when a marginal but entertaining movie like The Thief Who Came To Dinner gets overlooked by the digital market but OTH came out during the High Definition age and still no Blu Ray and it never seems to show up on the various movie channels either. This injustice must end. Oh, and I want my Thief Who Came to Dinner too. I don't care that it came out during the VHS era and I don't care that the film snobs don't like it. Warren Oates is Warren Oates and that's good enough for me. I'd even settle for just a region 1 DVD even though I haven't bought one in many years. And my rant isn't off topic because I'm pretty sure that if Warren Oates were alive today they'd have offered him a nice role in Guardians of the Galaxy.:)

It's a classic! :D

"You broke the ship. You broke the bloody ship!"

Being an old Trekie..... One of my favorite movies EVER!!!

George Takei on Galaxy Quest: " I think it's a chillingly realistic documentary [laughs]. The details in it, I recognized every one of them. It is a powerful piece of documentary filmmaking. And I do believe that when we get kidnapped by aliens, it's going to be the genuine, true Star Trek fans who will save the day. ... I was rolling in the aisles. And [star] Tim Allen had that Shatner-esque swagger down pat. And I roared when the shirt came off, and [co-star] Sigourney [Weaver] rolls her eyes and says, 'There goes that shirt again.' ...How often did we hear that on the set?"

Let's get out of here before one of those things kills Guy.

It works very well as both an action flick and a comedy. Easily one of my favorites.

Ok, I'm inspired enough to grab that on disc because I haven't seen it in a while other than a scene or two channel surfing.

Looks very awesome, IMHO.

Like a live action comic book...as it should be. Can't wait to see these characters brought to life on the big screen.

Yeah I dont get the hesitation on this movie. lol Me and my dad almost always like the same movies and we both saw the preview for this one and he said it looked totally stupid and I'm like uhh that looks AWESOME! haha

At first I just thought this looked like a parody. The new trailer definitely looks much better. I still can't get past the talking Raccoon.

Hopefully, the rest of the movie will rock and I get it out of my mind like that Jar Jar.....wait....just forgot who I was going to mention. :)

Looks amazing! Rocket Raccoon will steal the show.

Honestly, he could have the funniest scenes and best one liners and I still won't get over it. LOL.

Maybe I will change my mind once I see it.
