Different things are expected of different QB's. That's part of his gripe. That being said, he didn't show any flashes of brilliance this pre-season. And this was his opportunity.

Our D better show lots of flashes of brilliance with ole Mr Touch at the helm this year WildBB! Turnovers here we come! Please let me be wrong!

Cut him move on!!! If Wiz doesn't think the guy can play, why be worried on what team he plays for.

At this rate, Matt is irate with how things transpired and I wouldnt put it past him to share the Cards playbook along with the different cadences along with personal phone numbers, addresses and a list of all of the players/coachs' fears

I am not worried. Matt only knows the checkdowns. :number1:

Leinart is a great pick up for any team within the division for the playbook alone. If he gets released I would be shocked if he signs with anyone other than SF or SEA.

Would you believe the whiners and Hags?????? Per Jurecki the Cards will not deal within the division.

I have always thought it dumb to have some rule not to deal within the division. If you have a player you are going to cut he must be not very good so who cares. Yes Matt knows our play book but that is not reason enough not to trade him and save almost 3 mil. If he is cut he can sign any where so what is the difference. If Matt is as bad as many of us think it could be to our advantage if some team picks him up and starts him or he plays as a backup. We need to concentrate on our own team and forget what the other teams do which is largely not under our control. I think it would be great if we could trade him and not have to pay out his 2.7 million.

Knowing the play book is not worth nearly 3 million dollars and a roster spot. After a few games teams will know your play book anyway. What they do not know is which play you are going to run at any given time. Games are determined by the play of the players not knowing the other teams play book which changes from game to game. You may know that Jim Brown is going to run the ball when it is fourth and 3 at the goal line but that does not mean you are going to stop him.

The only reason not to deal him in the division is his knowledge of the Cards system. However.....i keep hearing he can't grasp the system and he sucks as a qb, so what are we afraid of?:)

I doubt the team would not trade within the division if it saves them 3 million dollars. If your only offer is from in the division I do not think the Cards would give it a second thought. If you had several offers from in and out of the division you might select to make a deal out of the division if it is close to the best offer. This trading withing the division talk I suggest is an old wives tell. With all the available film you can be sure that after about three games your competition knows all your plays. So what? They do not know when you will run them and may just out smart themselves. If trading within the division makes you a better team or saves you a lot of money then do it. We cannot control what other teams do in the long run.

If Leinart could stomach it he should just shut up and stay he will be replacing DA by game 4 anyway after Whiz wakes up and sees that he IS actually as bad as his Stats say!

Matt would have a very tough time jumping over a very mobile Max Hall who will be our #2.
