Not so much a UCLA football fan, I keep tabs on them but I follow Cal more.

Basketball UCLA and ND play this year, used to be a huge rivalry, ND is back in hoops they've been relevant for several years now so it should be a nice matchup.

Not so much a UCLA football fan, I keep tabs on them but I follow Cal more.

Basketball UCLA and ND play this year, used to be a huge rivalry, ND is back in hoops they've been relevant for several years now so it should be a nice matchup.

Wish we really could compete with UCLA in hoops but we can't. Howland's quicker athletes and aggressive ball-pressuring defense is a killer for us. What UCLA does best is what we handle worst.

Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled with ND's resurgence in hoops but we get the kids with good grades who aren't good enough players to go to Duke or Stanford.

We are ranked #9 preseason, I think. #15 or #16 would be where I'd put ND. Lack of footspeed and athleticism is a ticket to a quick tournament ouster.
