I noticed he left the game & Miles Brown took his place, played fairly well actually. May be a player to keep an eye on next season? Many on this board liked the pick as kind of a sleeper when we drafted him. Have no idea if we resign Gunter or not this offseason? He tried to test the FA waters, only to discover no team was willing to pay him what he was asking. So he took the Cardinals offer. He's been productive, stayed healthy until now. If I'm not mistaken, he has played every game as a Cardinal? Before this season anyway. This may be his first games missed with us?

I feel bad for Gunter. He was solid and never complained. Didn’t get the $ he was looking for in FA and now he is on IR.

Gunter is the type of guy that Keim has consistently let leave and shouldn't have. I would keep him around for a mid level contract, but we will see.

Hopefully he plays with something to prove next year.

He’s decent, shouldn’t be starting

I agree. On any other team he is a rotational player at best. I have no problem with him as a backup.

Sad thing is he was one of the Cards best DL which just shows how bad the talent level is on the Cardinals defense.

He reminds me a bit of Linval Joseph when he was with the Giants. A good player who was able to make more of an impact when he was surrounded by better talent. I think Gunter is worth keeping around and would pay him 5-6 mil per year to do so. That would pay him in the range of players like Denico Autry and Brandon Mebane.
