You really think Portland's going to trade SAR and Ratliff for Marion and garbage? Why the hell would Portland make that deal? I mean Marion is a garbage man - in the vein of Ceballos on offense and a good rebounder - but that alone doesn't compare to both the rebounding and shot-blocking that Ratliff provides and the scoring and ability to create one's own shot with SAR.

I mean in essence that's what you're saying because Little Jake has zero value in this league as far as trades go and I don' believe Vujanic does either.

Don't get me wrong if they made that deal we would be instant contenders - but you're talking fantasy man.

What did Atlanta get for those 2?

That should be a pretty good measure of their value.

Atlanta was in full salary dump - Portland is not in the same position - hence any comparison really wouldn't hold any water IMO.

I disagree.

No way either is worth what they get paid so whatever team takes them would factor this into the trade.

As much as I like Ratliff the guy is due for another 32 game season.

Ratliff is worth the money, but like you are pointing out he's only worth it when he's healthy. He had an incredible effect on that Portland team after the Allstar break last year.

What about making a move with Cleveland for Desagna Diop, he has never lived up to expectations in Cleveland, we can probably afford to take on his contract, he showed glimpses last year, is a big body, and is still very young... He is a player that I think makes alot of sense for the Suns...
