Habs agree to 1-year deal with RW Ryder (AP)

The Montreal Canadiens and right wing Michael Ryder avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Sunday. Ryder's hearing was set for Monday in Toronto. He made $2.2 million last season and terms of his new deal weren't immediately available. The Canadiens have all their players under contract for 2007-08.
