If the 49ers didn't give the Cards two gift turnovers at the start of the first game, and a 21-0 lead, the 49ers would have won that first game and been 6-4. I'm no Niners fan, but I don't see any reason why they can't go 8-8. They'll probably beat the Pack and the Cards at home.

I think that most(including myself) 49ers fans are hoping that Gore can stay healthy !

Yep, most 49er fans I know still wish Leinart was in that draft but they're not as heartbroken as they were last year. Smith looked like a scared rabbit last year, this year, a confident rabbit... err player.

The main thing they did really well was build an OL. They have Baas just sitting there not playing who could start for a number of NFL teams, Snyder would be our best tackle, he's splitting time with Kwame Harris(who is probably gone after this season). There was even some discussion earlier they might cut Jennings after the season but he seems to be playing well now.

I'd love to get Baas from them I think he'd solve our C problems but I suspect they like that he can play either guard spot and C and with Allen getting older I suspect they'll keep him around to cover multiple spots and eventually start somewhere.

and Kevan Barlow was bitching about Gore getting his carries last year. Ha!

yeah, I really miss seeing Kevan Barlow dance behind his offensive line, instead of running hard.

I think that it’s safe that Norv Turner is the reason behind alex’s progression this season. Plus the 49ers really upgraded the offense this past offseason.
