Netflix is at it again. Casting people who do not match the race of historical figures. First it was Cleopatra and now it is Hannibal.

Denzel can play George Wahington for all I care.. dude is good.

People confuse changing the race of a character with having a person of another race play that character.
Actors by their very nature "become" someone else...I am certain that when I watch this I will not see Denzel, I will see Hannibal.

similar to the uproar with Rings of Power having black elves and dwarves... if one can suspend disbelief enough to see them as fantasy characters, why can you not also see them as having a traditional skin color? the actor is not even present in the story...the character is.
