I can safely say that I will never buy a ticket to see one player in a team game. I can also say that were I to buy a ticket to the suns/hawks game it would be to see the suns, not the hawks or Joe Johnson.

I can safely say I bought tickets just to see Dr J, Iceman, pistol Pete, and even Bernard King....to name a few. and, would have done the same with Amare of old.

It's funny how terms like franchise player and super star get used so much they lose meaning. Rather than worry about it, I was wondering how many players REQUIRE double team attention on a regular basis. Kobe, T-Mac, KG, Amare, and maybe a half dozen others. I don't see enough games to know how many guys need double teaming from everyone, rather than just the Suns. :bang:

I think that alot(dozens?) of NBA players can demand a double, but how many can beat a double team consistently, require a triple. Amare was that kind of talent, he beat double teams all the time. A player who beats double teams(requires a triple) can have 2 open shooters to pass to. Kobe, Lebron, and Wade also beat double teams all the time. Guys that can do that could be the cornerstone of a winning team, a franchise player. Nash is unique in todays NBA, like Magic was, a franchise player who kills you with the pass or the shot.
