or anyone else. Right after the coaching staff is set free agency is next. I feel we have to sign a stud olineman and a couple of wide receivers. I don’t want to depend on a rookie wr Corp. Is Fitz coming back? I’m not sure who we will be retaining on the offensive line but we need more. Which ones fit our new offense? So how about Ramon Foster ( Steelers guard). Won’t be cheap. A couple of wr I wonder about is Tyrell Williams and Coles Beasley. I think Beasley would be a great fit with the new offense just like I think Kirk is going to thrive. Williams is insurance for fitz even if he returns. Would Jesse James be a competent TE? Ramon Foster, Tyrell Williams, Cole Beasley, Jesse James. Good start revamping the offense. Edit. Foster is 33. Remove him from my list.lol

I would love to see:

1. Andy Levitre

Re-sign Barksdale for RT (hasn't allowed a sack in 20+ games)

CB
Steven Nelsen (Chiefs)

Have no idea now that we are Air Raid

TE - draft. About the same or better production but much less cost (cut Gresham)

JAWuan James - OT

This is where you want to start (unless he is not the player I saw in a small sample size). He is similar to what Bobby Massie was when we let Chicago sign him. Spend the 9 mil per year, and have RT set.

I know we have Barksdale, but I personally think James is better.

These are players I like and fill needs.A major component to KK’s offense is centered around getting playmakers the ball early and in space. Patterson doesn’t excel at route running, but he can make a man miss and take it to the house. He shouldn’t be too expensive.

OT Trenton Brown, OT J James, OC Paridise, WR C Patterson, LB D Perriman, LB KJ Wright, CB M Claiborne, G Jarrett, Edge A Barr

Patterson is only 28. I remember him being a little bit of headcase. His best football may be ahead of him and he wouldn’t command big money.

KJ Wright and CJ Mosley would be worthwhile selections. I like Jordan Hicks as well. All would bolster the ILB position and be able to makeup for Reddick next to them.

If we are sticking to a 3-4, Markus Golden makes sense, especially if we are going after Bosa at #1. If not, they could break the bank for Clowney or Preston Smith or ZaDarius Smith. All three would be great across from Jones.

Rashaan Melvin is a nice player who had a bad year with the coaching change in Oakland. He would be a nice vet CB, but the Cardinals probably will need to draft a guy who sticks not named Brandon Williams.

Chopper do you think Bosa is big enough to anchor at 3-4 end with golden and jones at LB? I mean I love the idea of the three of them getting at QBs, but in a 3 man front does he have enough beef? I would think he would have to move to OLB in a 3-4, no?

I think this would only be in 3rd down situations. Much like in 2016 with Golden Jones and Okafor when one of them would line up inside. Bosa is definitely not a 3-4 DE.

Since our most likely draft choice is gonna be Bosa, I don't see Golden back. Good player with bad injury luck or he would've probably been extended already. I think it's most likely Arians and Bowles recruit him for the new Bucs defense, since they are transitioning and Golden fits the mold perfectly. Btw I'm also expecting Mathieu to join him and several other former and current Cards.

Agreed but I think we all know John Brown won't be going to Tampa :)

I read an article saying that KK loves a QB in this draft, Kyler Murray, and said before being hired by the Cards that he would make this kid his #1 overall pick in the draft. Do we draft him and trade Rosen? I highly doubt it but if we get crazy good offers for Rosen do we consider it?

The shame of it, is that would be the best place for him. Yet, if his body did react well to AZ, then Tampa weather would be no better.

Again, his stats this year were very average. So, for his 1,003 yd year, has been an outlier of his career, thus far.

IF* this offense were to work as well as many say it will, Anderson would be a good fit. I think a bigger WR would be preferred but they don't grow on trees.

Please excuse me, I am a "hater" of the current direction of the team, but I am also a sucker for talking roster construction.

That is a good player.

That is IF the Cardinals are going back to press man coverage. Melvin has size, and there are a few good CBs with size that will be available this offseason, it is actually a pretty decent crop of cornerbacks now that I look at it.

R.Melvin
P.Desir
E.Rowe

are three names I would start with.

Rosen would carry 10 million in dead cap because his contract is fully guaranteed.

There is just zero chance that this happens.

I think the teams that do well see free agency & the draft as one entity. This is tricky for the Cards as the face the possibility of a trade. I’ll deal with the possibility of a Murray trade elsewhere. If the Cards move they could draft for almost any position. They could still get an edge rusher later in round 1 or they could sign Clowney. I think the injury risk is exaggerated. Smith from the Ravens is a cheaper up and coming option. On offense the line comes first. I’ve mentioned Saffold. James from Miami would help the run game as well as the fact he’s showing signs of improving in pass protection. He was duggested earlier in this string. As for receivers this string mentions Humphries who is sound and wouldn’t cost a fortune. Conley fits KK’s offense and would provide a deep threat. On defense CB is one of the other obvious holes. The Cards would likely have to overpay to sign Nelson. He’d probably work as a #2 corner but he’s not exciting. There are multiple TEs like Enron and Cook. I think they stay with Reddick & re-sign Buc at ILB. Probably missed several but you can start here.
