Do they both open on a Wednesday?
That's a rough one, but I've gotta go with the more kid friendly movie.
Yes. Both have IMAX too which is at least 16 bucks a head.
When we went to the Dark Knight, it wasn't that expensive. I think it is around $13 or $14 here.
Harry Potter traditionally isn't a huge moneymaker on opening weekend, and in fact, the grosses for Potter aren't as high as most would think. This will be a huge moneymaker over the long run, but I don't think it will beat out Transformers 2 on opening weekend.
Nope, 77mil. LINK
Transformers has exclusive rights to IMAX for 4 weeks and it's causing the Harry Potter IMAX release is being delayed 2 weeks.Yes. Both have IMAX too which is at least 16 bucks a head.

Wow that sucks for Harry betters
Or did you want people to place their wagers without the advantage of knowing what Harry Potter would be up against in actual figures from Transformers 2?
I still bet Potter won't eclipse 200 million by Sunday. It could but I doubt it.
