Matt Hasselbeck was not made available to reporters after Sunday's loss, reportedly due to a "slight concussion."
Hasselbeck was rag dolled to the tune of eight sacks, so he's lucky that this is the only injury he suffered. The Seahawks play the Giants in Week 9. If Hasselbeck can't go, Charlie Whitehurst would make his first NFL start.

That would mean all 4 teams in the NFC-W are starting QBs that were not on their respective teams roster last season....

Odd stat.

I guess that leaves only the Rams with a real NFL QB playing for next week? They may actually win the NFC West:shrug:

It's official - CW to start against the Giants

I think the guy has some potential, but the one consistent was that he tended to get a little of the happy feet, lose his mechanics and make bad throws when pressured ......... i hope he's had a chance to work on that a bit as the giants are no joke with their rush and seattles OL is beat up

With Whitehurst starting against the Giants this week Seattle could be down to it's third string QB vs. the Cardinals the following week. But Hassleback will probably be ready to go by then.

The Giants have knocked out the opposing starting QB something like five QB's in six games...
