That was a tough, and gritty performance by the old man.

He willed that team down the field.

PS - This is my last post for the night.....wait, they are going to interview Tony Romo on NFLN so let's see what he has to say.

:number1:

Kurt is one of the toughest QB's in the NFL even at his age. He can get backup and still have his wits about him and make a good throw. I do not how many times he was knocked down today but it would take more than ten finger to count them. It is wonder he did not have more fumbles. Even on his first fumble rather than protect the ball after a bad snap he was trying to make a play. Seemed to me he did not see half of passes caught as he was on the ground. There is more than a lot to be said for QB who will wait until the very last moment to allow his receiver to clear before throwing the ball and knowing he about to take a big time hit. No all QB's can do that. Grate team win. Kudos to the defense. Arrington I am about to take back all those bad things I have said about you. Larry Fitz you are one of the best hands receiver I have ever seen. Steve Breston I never even heard of you until you came on to this team. Wow! LeBoy you are the man. We are not a running team but Hihtower you can make 3 yard near the goal line anytime we need it. Coach you had me worried with that dumb short kick just after we had scored. Hope you will take that out of your playbook in a situation like that. One giant step for the Cards. We still have to keep Kurt healthy for the rest of the season or all this could come tumbling down on us. He cannot take as many hits as he took today every game.

Hats, shirt, shoes, shorts and underwear off to him!

I thought he and the play calling were AWFUL in the first half and I was really scared "bad" Warner returned, but he was the FREAKING MAN in the second half. As gutty a performance and a turnaround by a Cardinals QB as I've probably, well, quite frankly.. have EVER SEEN.

We overcame the refs AND ourselves today. That's the day a team goes from pretender to CONtender. Still aways to go, but the seeds have been laid. Let's watch this sucker grow!

Kudos Kurt. You're looking more and more like the champion I never thought you'd be again. That was an incredible second half performance in the biggest game of the year. Just huge.

With apologies to Timex, he took a licking and kept on ticking. The play calling was way conservative in the first half, and Kurt definitely looked shaky. But he was nothing short of fantastic in the second half. I just wished we would have passed on first down in the last possession in regulation.

Kurt has had some really, really bad moments this year but overall I think this is the best he's played since his last MVP season. As long as he continues to play smart I think we're legit SB contenders this year.

He is tough. You can question Warner's ability, particularly his ability to hang onto the football, but if you question his toughness or his will to win, you're insane, IMO.

Some of those hits today... man. The Cowboys got to tee off on him a bunch of times.

Kurt is tough as nails. I've never questioned his ability either, just his decision making. He's easily one of the most accurate quarterbacks I've ever seen.

There were a couple of throws he made today where he threw the ball WAY before the break by the WR and put it right on the numbers. The last one like that was to Fitz who had the defender right on his back and had to put his hands up quick to get it once he turned around. To me, that's the difference between Leinart and Warner right now. Leinart has to see the WR open to throw the ball. I think Leinart can, and will, get there.

Kurt Warner is as tough as they come. Hangs in there until the last possible micro second before throwing the ball and completes the pass more than not. Anyone bashing Leinart doesn't get the fact that KW is an awesome NFL QB and there is ZERO disgrace in not beating him out. When KW gets sacked or turns the ball over many of us think...Are you an idiot, get rid of the ball. Think back to how many plays that go for 1st downs etc that KW waits to the last second to deliver the ball and the results are a 1st down or better. We curse when the sack or TO happens and celebrate when the results are positive. KW is potentially the toughest QB in the NFL.

The chin band-aid was driving me nuts!! Even my wife commented that she just wished he would take it off! It was half hanging on the entire game

Not much else that I can say about Warner that hasn't already been said. But two things:

1. The turnovers come because he is so aggressive. He thinks pass first, tuck later. So it comes with the package. Heartburn and all.

2. It seems that he is much more comfortable when he is imposing his will against the coaches. What I mean is that when the coaches are trying to establish the run, Kurt is very uncomfortable. It is not until he has been unleashed when good things happen. The Washington game and the first half of this game is a great example of this.

warner played his ass off, especially in the second.

The fumble was STUPID...he luckily got the ball to bounce back into his hands, and then he tried to do something with it. At that point, the smart play is to wrap it up, and take the sack.

He also tried some ridiculous flip plays. No Kurt, that's not what you should do.

He stood in there though, and took some LICKS when delivering great passes downfield.

Overall, I'll take this kind of game from Kurt any day. Well done. I just wish the mistakes weren't so "rookie" like.

He does this week in and week out, and IMO, better than any other QB I've seen play this game...
His accuracy, combined with his courage are simply amazing. He is an extremely tough man who has more guts than half the other QB's combined.
Way to go Kurt. Yet another amazing performance!!!
