Anybody watching this? I have been pleasantly surprised. I never really watched the original so I don't have anything to compare it to. To me this is the best new show on the networks so far this season.

I've been pleasantly surprised as well. I'm really liking Scott Caan. I expected something like his characters in Varsity Blues or the Ocean's trilogy, but he was the key for me.

You might be right about the best new fall show on tv. I never watched the original. The only problem I have are the constant exaggerated action sequences. Granted suspension of disbelief is a heavy requirement for this one.

Count me as one that likes the show also. I know there's been some problems with the way Alex O'Loughlin pronounces Hawaiian words (even though his character is supposed to be from there), but other than that, it's not bad.

I like it. I like it better when Grace Park dons a bikini, but I like it nonetheless.

Totally agree. Glottal stop isn't there. Doesn't sound Hawaiian at all. Where's the dialect coach?

I never in my life thought I'd say this, but I like the new version of the theme song. Drums are better IMO. There are going to be some hot arguments over this at my family dining table come Thanksgiving. I can feel it in my bones.

I have to check this out... glad to hear people are liking it. The previews seemed cool, and I like Scott Caan.

Like just about every new show this fall, it hasn't met my expectations. I don't hate it but the weekly routine of Scott Caan whining over something petty has gotten old. He was one of the reasons I was looking forward to the show and now he's one of the reasons I'm thinking of bailing. Fairly routine story-lines also.

First episode Dan-o is driving a 2011 Mustang GT. The last several episode he and McGarrett (sp??) are driving Camero. GM ponied up some denaro and didn't even give the show the 426hp SS version!!! Chumps!!!

Edit: Oops! I may have lied about the 2011 Mustang GT. It could have been the 2011 V-6 Mustang. I forgot the V-6 2011's have dual exhaust as well and can't recall seeing the GT logo on the sides.

Crap I suck... 5.0 on the side of 2011 Mustang GT....

So, I still haven't started watching it. Is it still worth my time?

It is a fun show. Is it great? No, but it isn't supposed to be great theatre. They deliver on what was promised, an entertaining way to spend an hour each week while normally having an interesting story to follow.

Okie dokie then. I have some free time starting Wednesday. I plan on catching up. (BTW, I think that Asian guy is super hot.)

You can have him. My wife did say that if Grace Park follows me home I can keep her. If that happens, the first thing I'm going to do is force feed her for a month. She was gorgeous in BSG but she's dropped 100 pounds or so since then.

I think the show is a bit overrated here. It's pleasantly watchable but I don't think it delivers on the promise of the pilot. It started out strong but has been fairly routine since then, IMO. If your expectations aren't much you should enjoy it but if you go in expecting a smart show or even just a mild thrill ride you'll likely be a bit disappointed.

I don't expect a lot from television anymore.

So did you also notice that the "pony" is missing from the grill of the '67 Mustang Faith Hill is standing in front of for the Sunday Night Football opening? ;)
