Does your TV have a Sync setting? Also, your running both your audio and video through HDMI? You don't have for instance the sound coming through TOSLINK (optical) or anything?

Yes, running both audio and video thru HDMI. Don't think I have any sound thru optical - you can't have both, correct? it's either hdmi or optical.

It is one or the other, but you can choose which one you want to use in the DVR settings. I currently have HDMI from TV to DVR receiver and optical from AVR receiver to DVR. In fact, if you are using an AVR, turn off your speakers completely.
