Besides Saban & Lovie SMith, Pete Carroll could possibly jump in as a candidate for the Falcons. He has a winning record as a head coach in the NFL but his west coast laid back attitude did not fit in with the NE cities of Boston & NY.

If the Falcons throw some serious jack to him, he would be hard pressed to turn it down.

I'd be shocked to see Carroll back in the NFL anytime soon. I saw a recent interview where he basically said the part he loves about college is it's still fun and not a business. He said in the NFL everything comes down to money and the fun is gone, that was very difficult for him to deal with and he felt it was why he was less successful as a head coach.

That was the opinion when he was with the 49ers, that he was "too nice" to be an NFL head coach. A lot of the problems Mac has, Carroll did, too close to players, too close to assistants, loyal to a fault. It works great in college he's an excellent coach and a great recruiter with a terrific offensive mind in Norm Chow so he can concentrate his efforts on the defense.

I think mac would be a good college coach for the same reasons, I just don't think he's cut out to be a HC in the NFL.

Pete Carroll isn't going anywhere. He's got the world by the butt in SoCal and USC is poised to be a national power for many years to come.

Screw Norm Chow. If he hadn't left NC State, Philip Rivers would be ahead of Manning this year in the draft. :p

It looks like the GM for the Bucs, McCay, maybe heading to Atlanta. If this is the case and we were trading alot with the Bucs, does that mean our team of trades would be Atlanta? LoL. just a thought. Plus I think the Falcons are waiting to put the GM in place before deciding on a coach.

I'm suprised that Fassels name doesnt come up more in Atlanta. It seems that he and Vick would be a good match.
