The Iowa Heartlanders are planning an unforgettable day of golf, hockey and comedy.
Fans are invited to participate in Happy Gilmore Day, presented by Waggle. The Heartlanders will pay homage to the iconic golf movie before, during and after their Sunday, March 30 matinee game against the Wichita Thunder.
Puck drop is scheduled for 3 Pm CT, but the jokes, holes-in-one and hockey fun begin when the doors open at 2.
For the first time in team history, the Heartlanders are seeking a playoff run!
For this game only, fans will have a chance to see the epic Kelly Cup on display on the concourse at Xtream Arena. Fans can line up to grab a photo with the cup from when the doors open & throughout the game.
The cup will be on display outside of Section 109 by the Heartlanders Tickets Table.
Attendees can then head back to Landers Trail during the game, presented by Pizza Ranch, and snap a picture of the team’s golf-ified photo station. They can also take part in fun-filled games and activities for the whole family.
Following the game, there will be a post-game skate presented by the Family Dental Center. Participants can get out on the ice with the team, although they must provide their own skates and have them ready at the end of the third period.
No other gear will be permitted in Xtream Arena for the event.
It will be a day of golf, goals and good times in Coralville. Fans can save money by purchasing tickets in advance.
The Heartlanders’ next game is Friday at Xtream Arena against the Fort Wayne Komets. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 Pm CT.
