I thought Marion played well for the Suns. I enjoyed his play and enjoyed him as a player.

The only thing I didn't like was that Marion didn't embrace what he had here. If he'd complained less, moped less, whined less, he might still be with the Suns -- and not telling the sad-sack Heat that, um, could he have a long-term contract, please?

Marion will not get an extention, stay on his current deal, grump through the season, get bought out near the deadline, and then sign for the minimum to join the Hornets' playoff run.

That's plausible. Just change that to the Suns instead of the Hornets and it works great for me. Shawn comes back to the Suns for one championship run and then goes for free agency.

The Heat's Marion sounds a lot like the Suns Marion wanting an extention. This really isn't news. Marion wants the same 3 year 60mil contract Paul Pierce got and has wanted it for awhile.

As far as Brand goes, he may be capable of playing center but I doubt he'd want to. Especially under the ridiculous idea where the Heat still have Marion and he is playing for pennies on the dollar.
