Obviously this is not going to be on air for some time but has a very good premise. The show revolves around the building of the Transcontinental Railroad in the 1860s. Hopefully this series will be picked up because it definitely is up my alley.

First preview is out and of course it looks good. The visuals look stunning and I really hope it is good because I love westerns.

I watched last week's premiere last night. I'm a sucker for westerns so I was excited after seeing the previews. The intro immediately reminded me of Deadwood with the music and the video. The show is also Deadwoodesque with a few of the characters, but it's tamed down considerably. Like all good shows, it's going to take a while to develop, but I'm all in for now. Those who enjoy westerns should check it out.

I like the look and the feel of it but I was kind of let down by the premiere. I'm assuming it is because they have to lay out the entire story so I am willing to give it a couple more episodes. Like you I love westerns so I'm hoping it improves quickly.

The show got better with each episode after a slow start to introduce the main players.

What the heck, no love for HOW?


I like this show. Mainly because of the setting and feel. Love westerns and gritty shows like this.


Only saw season 1, soon to watch season 2. I prefer to watch seasons when they are complete because I tend to marathon them, lol.

My main issue with the show is the main character Bohanon (sp?).

He has the cool factor, no doubt. But he is such a poorly developed charatcer. You know little to nothing about him. Never shows any personality or personal insight. You, as a viewer, just have no real connection to him. That whole mysterious thing cant keep going for 2 seasons, you eventually have to open him up to the viewers.

That chick is Fiiine.

Common, great actor.

Cast is great. Setting is awesome. Very consistent with the times.


Not a fan of the indians speaking english. Wouldve been better to have them speaking their own laguage and just use subtitles.

Overall (season 1) 7/10.

I like the orginality.

Which languages, Hindi or Bengali? Of course, they could have spoken Punjabi or Gujarati too.

They are not Indians, they are memeber of the Navajo tribe, the Apache tribe, the Hohokam tribe, the Pawnee tribe or even a member of another tribe, but they are not Indians. Most find that term disrespectful.

They are indians. Im white not "caucasian". Those guys are black. Mexican.

Having these term hangups is the reason theres racial tension. You are empowering words.

I just watched all five seasons over the past couple weeks. Great show. I remember trying to watch this when it came out but I just couldnt get it into my schedule. Binge watching it is definitely the way to go...speeds up the pace a bit that way.
Hell, they could have spent two more episodes just following up on where all the characters went afterwards.... with Bohannon, they should have showed him meeting up with Mei rather than just on the boat...of course with his luck when he gets there she will either be dead or married... but anyway.

its on netflix if you need a binge...its worthy
