I would have no problem making sure he stays at Iowa. As most of you know he was an OL coach under Belicheck at CLE. He was also at Iowa during the early Hayden Fry days. Robert Gallery, the nation's best OL, was converted from a tall, skinny TE. As with most of the Big Ten, a power running game was first priority on offense. I believe we have one of the best zone blocking schemes in the country. As for passing, it all depends on who the quarterback is. Last year we were spoiled with Brad Banks who is very mobile and accurate. This year we had a very tall, not very accurate Nathan Chandler. Ferentz is able to adapt to the players in his system. Defensively, we are usually one of the top run defenses in the nation. He picks his assistants very well. What I like most about him though is he commands respect from his players. That might not work at the pro level however i.e. Meshawn. His personality is anti-McGinnis, in that he rarely does anything on the sidelines and doesn't have all of those great one-liners that Mac had.
