Been checking out this site for months but haven't got around to registering until now. I have been a Card's fan since the mid 70's when my family lived in St. Louis, so like most of you, I haven't had much to brag about over the years.

I have to say, this is the most I've been exicted about the Card's since I can remember. New coach, new stadium on the way, etc...
I live in Houston but make it to one game at SDS every year. Nice trip to play some golf, spend time with the wife, etc...
I believe these are the keys to a great off-season:

Free Agency:
Pass rush specialist (Kearse?)

Two quality CB's (Taylor/Vincent/Bailey/Woodson/McAllister) One of these guys along with lower priced, solid veteran to go along with Starks and Hill.

OL Depth

Draft:
Eli if available, or Sean Taylor. (Maybe Fitzgareld if he declares)
Defense, Defense, Defense in later rounds.
Wouldn't mind looking into getting a speed back for 3rd downs. Been awhile since we had a little guy to create mis-matches for defenses. With Anderson's problems, Scoobey is only one backing up Shipp and Emmitt. Scary thought if Shipp goes down.

Look forward to good conversations in the future.

I agree with pretty much all of that. Except that if we don't draft Sean Taylor we should take.............. (drumroll).............. Steven Jackson from Oregon State.

Welcome aboard.
I'll have a 16oz Budweiser can. Ice cold.
And seven bowls of Cheerios.

Thanks

Appreciate the comments. I see a couple of fellow Texans which is always nice. Used to go to local bars to catch Card games but all of those Cowboys fans drove me crazy. Got Direct Tv about five years ago, best $ I ever spent.

By the way, how the hell do you change Avatar? Been messing with it for half hour. It says too many mega pixels . What do i need to do?

Wow, so you keep your wife in Phx and visit her once a year - that is a recipe for success :D

Greetings, Longhorn.

Agree with you about our trying to land Kearse.

(Basically because, instead of always referring to the "Cardinals' Curse", we could legitimately refer to the "Cardinals' Kearse.")

Some BBQ from the joint downtown with the rattlesnakes in the glass case plus a 6-pack of Pearl Beer, please.

Re-size the picture so that it is no bigger than 85 x 85 pixels.

PS - Welcome to the best message board in all the land!

Biscuits and gravy and a large coffee for me.

Welcome longhorn.

I just have this nagging feeling that Jevon Kearse has taken too much of a pounding on his light frame at DE. He sure seems to be injured a lot.
