I can't play any good games on my computer all of a sudden.

They come up but the video is all scrambled. Anything I can do to fix this?

I would check to make sure you have the latest video card driver installed.

What type of card do you have?

I don't know but we had upgraded it and all these games played fine.

We have a different monitor and I think that might have something to do with it.

Maybe we have to reinstall the video card to hook it up with the monitor?

Did you make sure you are using the monitor drivers for the new monitor rather than the old monitor?

No. I have no idea how to do that. That is probably the issue.

Right Mouse Click on your Desktop -->Properties --> Click the Settings Tab

You should see a line that says:

Display
(Monitor Name) on (Video Card Name)

If it is not the right monitor
Click Advanced and then the Monitor tab. Then click the Properties button and then the Drivers tab. THen click the update drivers button and point it to the CD or floppy that came with your monitor and that should install the correct ones.

It say Default monitor on NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX 100/200

We got this monitor from my wifes parents, it is temporary but we don't have the set up disk.

If you have "Default" set up already, then it probably is a resolution problem. Hook up the old monitor, change your resolution, then go ahead and change the monitors. I had that problem a while back and I didn't have a second monitor, so I had some problems--I'm sorry, I don't remember how I solved it.

Now, I have an LCD monitor and don't have any problems.

I got lucky somehow and fixed it.

I found the type of monitor listed in my driver thing and selected it and that fixed.

Thanks for the help guys.
