He’s alive! I did have to worry if my memory had gotten so bad I didn’t realize I’m sick.
I’m flattered you asked, Brit. The question hinges in part on what they do with Humphries. If they let him walk And don’t get a replacement via trade or free agency I’d think they have to go LT in round 1. I can’t tell you why Thomas isn’t a fit. He’s not a pass blocking specialist, but he may well develop into the best LT of this bunch. Wills looks great at RT and can probably make the transition left. If they trade down, maybe Jones. None of that would be my choice.
I’d tag Humphries. Assuming we’re not going WR and staying OT, then you have to choose between Wirfs and Wills. Both should be solid RTs. Wirfs would likely stay at RT, but Wills would be better suited to move left if there’s an injury. If Humphries then leaves Wills goes to LT.
I favor tagging Humphries, taking Lamb and then going heavy D. Of course if a solid developable LT prospect pops up you grab him.
Clearly I’m thinking FAs significantly improve the D.
I’ll be interested to see the Combine numbers on the OTs. A bad FA period would, of course, change things.
OTs & WRs are notoriously hard to read. So either way it’s a gamble. Thanks for asking.
