Well, the bills finally caught up with me and I had to sacrifice my DirecTV/Sunday Ticket/NFL Channel. Shouldn't matter for the playoffs I guess since my local channels weren't available in HD anyway.

But, if anyone can PM me with suggestions on alternatives to watching the last two games of the year I would appreciate it.

I was able to catch the Giants/Redskins in a way that I had not watched a game before but it wasn't the greatest quality. A way to watch the Card's for free and in good quality would be nice.

It sucks being poor. Have to miss out on those slick gray championship hats too. And I'm a hat guy.

I thought you had to pay for Sunday Ticket in advance. Just hope you don't have to give up your internet connection. Things will get better.

No, they split it up into 6 payments and apparently you're not committed to keeping it.

Sadly, DirecTV is the water mark for me and they nickle and dime you to death so by the time you order your base package, hd receiver, tivo, Sunday Ticket, super fan so you can watch the nfl games in HD, etc., it was well over $100/month. Far too much for me to spend right now primarily just to get the NFL games.

If you have a decent internet connection, you should be able to watch the game online. p2p.net. If the streamer is set up correctly, the quality can be pretty good. Not sure about this week though. STL :barf:

That's the one that I found for the MNF game. I'll certainly take it with a smile but the quality could be better. It's not bad, but it could be better.

Not every game will be the same cause a different person broadcasts it..I never use it for football since I have Sunday Ticket, but I use it for the NBA and it's usually fine.

Does your local cable operator have the NFL Redzone channel? I, too, dropped DTV due to the increasing cost of Sunday Ticket. Switched to Comcast for pretty much everything. Comcast offers a sports package for around $6 per month that includes NFL Network and the Redzone Channel. The redzone channel isn't the same as Sunday Ticket, but I get to see a decent amount of Cardinals football, especially as most of our games are in the afternoon when there are few games to compete with for air time. You might want to check it out.

Welcome to my world.
I am down to just an antenna now for ny TV viewing, no ESPN, no NFL Network, etc.
That being said if you look hard enough you can find just about every game on the net. Also with sites like Hulu and others you can find almost every show you are missing.
Besides the sites already mentioned there is also;
channelsurfing.net
vettle.net

If you have cable with a box or a dish still (sorry i skimmed the OP) I would recommend NFL redzone. That will help soften the blow a little bit. But if you want to watch on the internet unfortunately Youre never going to get a very good picture/sound. But hey, its free. Good news is the playoffs are here and youll be able to go back to your TV in a few weeks. :)
