I have come into a smidgen of money (car accident settlement) and I'm wanting to order some dvds from when youth was king (80's, early 90's) that my kids haven't seen. I mean real classics. Okay, everyone's definition of classic is different. I'm looking for the non-obvious ones. We already have Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, etc. I already have The Outsiders on my list, and I already own Can't Buy Me Love and The Breakfast Club. Can you guys help me think of any good movies from that time frame? I want to force my kids to watch some great crap from my youth. Any genre is cool; my oldest is 16, so I was thinking about Nightmare on Elm Street...

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

That avatar change is throwing me off big time. I keep expecting to read about Ernie Sims.

that was a staple in my house growing up. run, don't walk, to the store and watch it!

I agree. That's just crazy. I couldn't wait to show this one to my kids.

National Lampoon's Vacation

If you ever plan a trip with your kids, make sure and watch this one. You might have to catch the PG version or be prepared to forward through some parts though….
