There are two arcade games that for the life of me I cannot remember what they were called. I'll try to describe them the best I can:
1. a third person shooter, with 2 characters (one in blue the other in red). It was a military setting and your character was positioned at the bottom of the screen, you were only able to move horizontally, and had the ability to dive out of the way of incoming bullets. You could destroy buildings in front of you and throw granades. There was also planes and other aircraft that you could shoot. Once you cleared the level your guy would run forward in celebration and onto the next level. Also I think there was a western version of it.
2. A wester horizontal shooter, with an option of 4 playable characters. I think one had revolvers, the other a shotgun (he wore a poncho) and can't remember the other characters very well. I remember on one level you were on a horse as the screen moved forward, riding alongside a train, and you had to shoot the bad guys that showed up on the train or sometimes in horses. It may also have had a more vertical shooting in another level, but I cannot remember for sure
