Help with Madden 2006 PLEASE!

I must be ********. I have started a season and played week 1 then shutdown. Now Im trying to play week two and the only option it is giving me is if I want to simulate that game or all of the games for that week. No option for playing it myself?

Anyone know what Im doing wrong?

After you play your game for that week you "simulate the week" to get to the next week. You can play any game you want my selecting that game and choosing a side
