Kickapoo and Logan-Rogersville girls' basketball teams will represent the Springfield area in next week's Missouri state championships in Columbia.

Five total teams will make their way to the MSHSAA Show-Me Showdown for the larger schools. In boys' basketball, Nixa, Logan-Rogersville and Parkview each advanced to the semifinal round, which begins Wednesday at Mizzou Arena.

Here's what happened Saturday in girls' hoops:

BOYS: Here's who advanced to state semifinals in Springfield area boys basketball in Class 4-6

Logan-Rogersville 46, Owensville 35 — Class 4 quarterfinal

A day after the boys advanced to their second state semifinal in a row, the Logan-Rogersville girls beat Owensville to be state-bound for the first time since 2019.

Sophomore Millie MacPherson led the way for the Lady Wildcats with 15 points. They will play Benton in Friday's 8 p.m. Class 4 semifinal game, after the Cardinals won 62-42 over Boonville on Saturday.

Helias Catholic 43, Marshfield 32 — Class 5 quarterfinal

Tough Helias Catholic defense led it past Marshfield, avenging its Class 5 quarterfinal loss to the Lady Jays a year ago.

Helias Catholic built its lead up to 10 by halftime and kept its distance for the remainder of the game as the Lady Jays struggled to get anything going offensively.

Marshfield ended its season 24-6. The Lady Jays won their second district championship in a row after not winning one for a decade before.

Kickapoo 64, Lee's Summit West 48 — Class 6 quarterfinal

Lady Chiefs star senior Mikayla Pilley scored 27 points and has Kickapoo in a state semifinal for the second year in a row. The Lady Chiefs were dominant in a quarterfinal win in Springfield on Saturday afternoon.

Kickapoo will play Staley in Wednesday's 4 p.m. semifinal game. The Falcons won 56-49 over Rock Bridge on Saturday.
