fair for a change

Really?

I would love to see the Steeler rankings, or the Patriots for that matter.

Seems a little low for the NFC Champs.

If I were Leinart, Wells, Watson, Brown, or McFadden I would be pretty insulted.

I guess they don't think too highly of Cody Brown.

Urban and Frontenot are too high.

Berry and Okeafor should be LBs.

Is McFadden's speed really that bad? Seems like we'd have heard something about him having problems staying with WRs if he was really 85.

The rankings are so much different than they were last year, the elite guys didn't get touched but everybody else got dropped pretty significantly. In the end of the year roster updates Dansby was a 94 (now 89), Gandy was a 94 (now 86), Breaston was an 85 (now a 79), etc. EA acknowledged the changes in the rating system and it's immediately noticeable if you play madden frequently and glance over the new rosters. Apparently EA will be releasing info on each division this week, the NFC North is up:

http://maddennfl.easports.com/cover.action

You can go there and take a look at the team/player ratings for some perspective, because the Cardinals weren't the only team whose players saw some significantly lower ratings. It's going to be like that for every team, so don't take it as more Cardinals disrespect.

They also changed the way the speed ratings work, I'd go find the article and copy paste it but I got 3 hours of sleep and I'm about to crash. I lied, found one on my first google search:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1807344/madden_2010_video_game_player_ratings.html

n the new Madden 2010 video game which should come out this fall, the ratings have a much broader range instead of all being bunched up in the same 10-15 point area.

For example, according to EA Sports' blog on the Madden 2010 at www.easports.com, the wide receivers and cornerbacks in the game are now boasting speed ratings in the vicinity of 70-100 for overall player ratings.

That means that a player can be a good 10 points below another player but still be very fast. The differences will be much closer to real life in terms of the Madden 2010 player ratings and that should allow for more varied game play.

Earnest Graham is a good running back for Tampa Bay who only has an 80 speed rating in Madden 2010. But in one game play trailer of Madden, he broke away from a pack of cornerbacks and was off to the races because he had them beat on angles and also because his 80 isn't nearly as far off from the top-notch player ratings seen in previous Madden games.

It doesn't seem like CB speed. He's got to rely on other factors/strenghs, but this is safety speed.

A safety is going to have to stay at home on his side of the field, for sure.

I think Gandy is fine, if not a bit underrated, but I'd have to see the other LT ratings first. Outside of the Pitt game (Harrison embarassed a lot of tackles this year) he was great in pass protection. Wells was bound to drop with this new rating system seeing as he was only an 85 (or maybe an 86 I cant remember) in '09 and the same goes for Sendlein. Brown and Vallejo aren't going to get much love in the rankings because they never see the field.

I wish they'd give us a way to DL the new rosters via xbox live when they are all officially announced, it would make it a lot easier to get a feel for how this new system works.

Speed is way low for many players

You guys need to read the article I linked ;) The ratings appear low if you're used to '09 but according to EA they won't be as slow as you'd think in '10.

Upon seeing his rating on Madden, Bertrand Berry asked for a salary increase and will continue to miss all optional team activities. :D

As for the Titans...

Dwight Freeney, according to Madden, is faster than every starter on our team besides Chris Johnson, Cortland Finnegan, and Nate Washington. Pretty stupid ratings this year if you ask me.

They've definitely dumbed down speed in this Madden. I'm not sure how it works.

After seeing the Steeler's roster.

Ours seems fine.

Just seems Madden has stopped caring about accurately looking at each team.

But they stopped caring about the quality of thier football game YEAR'S ago.

Madden has almost become unplayable in my opinion.

EA sucks.

I agree 100%.

They might be one of the worse companies in the world. Their quality is horrible.

If they were not a monopoly then they would be screwed.......and yes, they are a monopoly.
