UA recruits earn high marks

TUCSON - There may not be much of a waiting period to see just how good the 2005 Arizona football recruiting class is. A number of signees are likely to play right away, if not start.

The class ranks 14th nationally by Scout.com and 16th by Rivals after the first day of the national letter of intent period.

I like the optimism, but let's not start booking our tickets to Pasadena quite yet. Realistically it's going to take two more years to get us out from the abyss that POS Mackovic dug us into. Hopefully the QB we landed will turn out fine because I'm pretty confident our o-line and defense will be strong in the coming years.

And the following year in the very first Fiesta in brand new Cardinal Stadium...

It'll be time to update that sig from '98 nat'l champs to '05 :raccoon:

I was pretty happy with how the redshirt freshman, Kovalchek, looked last season. For a kid to come out in a high pressure situation against a ranked and heavily favored ASU team and perform the way he did is enough to have hope for his future. The O-Line and D-Line class is a significant step in the right direction. Hopefully UofA gets a running back who can hang on to the ball, now. Mike Stoops has that program moving in the right direction.

Hey, Gee - why are you pimpin' Tucson?

Basketball is obviously rotting the boy's brains. Maybe somebody needs to remind him that the Mildcats are the only Pac-10 and Big-10 member who have never earned a Rose Bowl berth :D

I figured him for a bandwagon-Wildcat-fan since he's always been loyal to the Valley in the past, especially the Glendale/Phoenix area.

Suddenly he's pimping Tucson.

Since I was a lil kid basketball has always been my favorite sport. When it came time for me to pick a college team, all that was on tv was Wildcats. And I dont think I was aware of where UA was at. All I know is I seen Arizona on the jersey, so that was/is my team. Dont get me wrong, I still like ASU and root for them all the time except against UA. I went to GCC, so ya know, like I said in the above post.

:D

Well...considering I really didn't direct it towards you.

If you notice when you go anywhere, AU (Yes I know...) crap is all over now and the ASU stuff is hidden. Just goes to show how pathetic people are in Phoenix when it comes to team loyalty.

ASU is the only Pac-10 team never to win the Pac-10 basketball title...
