I'll give the Fins this years 2nd round pick and a conditional 3rd that can be a 2nd if he reaches a sack/tackles category.
berry had more sacks than our entire defensive line (not entire defense)...I thought we had 21 total sacks last year (if you include entire defense - not just lineman) - but that is what I remember..could be wrong.

This is interesting. I'd throw our second this year, and a conditional pick in next year's draft. The conditional pick could be as high as another 2nd rounder.

Try to palm off the #2 pick on them. Now that Berry is here you should not give up the #1 pick for him. Before Berry got here I would have given MIA a #1 for him.
A team like MIN (that is desperate for a DE) who drafts Round 1 at #19 should give a Round 1 and Round 3 for him straight up. And the Cards can't match that. If the Cards score this kid it would be a steal - other teams would have to drop the ball.

That's way too much to give up, when you look at what other teams have traded for "stars" in the past.
If Marshall Faulk can be had for a 2nd rounder, Ogunleye can be too.

Take a look at how many 1st round picks flat out bust. Then take a look at how many 3rd round picks flat out bust. Look at how many become good players. Look at how many become great players. And then look how many become pro-bowlers. Then take a look at DEs. Then take a look #19 picks and higher.
If you can get a YOUNG PRO BOWL 15 sack man for a first round pick at #19 and a third rounder. And you have no legitimate DE on the team.

Why don't you break those down into numbers that we can look at and see if there is a trend?
The best trade for both teams would be for the Cards to send their second round choice (#33) and their second pick in 2005 for the rights to Ogunleye. Miami doesn't have a pick in the second round this year or next year. If the Cardinals must have a second they can always trade down from the third spot to get back into the round. Most of us believe Arizona must address the CB issue and some of you want to keep #33 for that corner, but keep in mind the best pass defense is a good pass rush. A pass rush causes disruption of passing lanes which leads to turnovers and better overall defense. With the addition of Berry and Ogunleye the Cards will be set in the rush department.

I hate to be Mr. Negative, but for some strange reason I feel like all of this speculation is a pipe dream. When was the last time the Cards did something creative and came out on top?
With the current management that is.
Putting together a deal to get this kid (who I am a BIG fan of) is something other teams do.
Sometimes I really hate my reality checks. Somebody ban me!
