FYI, the memory is in the paper itself, not the headline. This was a project Mike and I worked on prior to 9/11. I thought the pioneers on this site might remember it.

I remember that paper. And the golf tournament :koolaid:. You guys had a good idea just bad timing. From 2001 to 2003 interest in the Arizona Cardinals was almost non existent.

There were 12 home games during that stretch where attendance was under 30,000 and only 4 over 50,000 including the 2003 Minnesota game which was mostly Vikings fans.

I'll never forget the Falcons players stopping at midfield during introductions to stare in disbelief at the 40,000+ empty seats in SDS.
