the only thing I see on there that might be considered bad is the mid season road stretch.

3of4 at home to start...great

3of4 at home to end season....great

6of8 on the road mid season.....ouch

we are positioned to jump out early,....then as long as we can maintain through that middle half of the schedule,....the home stand at the end of the season allows us to solidify our playoff positioning.

will be almost like two separate seasons for the AZ tailgaters

Pretty much as good as we could hope for. We will log the most travel miles, 27,000, at least that's what I heard on the radio.

Has anybody seen SOS stats listed?

I think we were like 3rd toughest in the NFL.. with Seattle and Niners right behind us.

Ravens are likely to stay out west in between Niners and our road game. They actually requested Niners and Raiders back to back since they had them both away, but NFL gave them two back-to-back west coast road trips instead (OAK-DEN and SF-AZ).

I think the AFC North's records last year were slightly inflated as they played the awful NFC South. That makes the strength of schedules for the AFC North and NFC West skew slightly higher as they play each other this year.

5 road games have the dreaded 1:00 EST start time. This team better not start slow or they will give away a couple easy ones. I see two, possibly three losses in this group.

9/20 @Chicago 1:00
10/18 @Pitt 1:00
11/1 @Cleveland 1:00
12/6 @St. Louis 1:00
12/20 @Philly 1:00

They are and the Cards asked the NFL to do the same thing for them. So the Cards will stay back east for the DET and PITT games. Does it get anymore perfect for the Cards? Pitt is what a 2hr drive from DET? So that's what a 20min flight if they even fly.

Not as nice for Balt since it's an ~2hr flight from SF to Phx.

The EST don't mean squat if the team isn't playing in the EST zone. Time zone is relative from point of origin. Won't most of these be during DST so it'll only be a 1-2hr diff from AZ.

They will all have a 1:00 PM EST start time unless they get flexed to Sunday night. That means they will be kicking off the game at 10:00AM or 11:00AM in AZ time.

Right. I just don't see the problem with it. It's not like this has never happened in the past. Last year the Cards played the last game (MNF) of week 1 and they had to play at the Giants the following weekend.

I don't think a player cares about the start time, but more about the difference in body clock hours. It's easier to adjust for a 1hr difference than a 3hr difference and 2hrs is easier than 3hrs. It's relative to the origin timezone if that makes sense.

My point is that we'll need a lot more from the offense this year (read: healthy Palmer) if the defense sleeps through the first half of these early starts. I can't get the Falcons thrashing out of my mind.

I find it odd we don't play an AFC team until week 6, then we play them 3 straight. So basically all of them in a 6 week span counting the bye.

We all need to get our tickets together if possible. You all can come up WI and stay with Jodi and I if you want.

CBUS you driving? If so it's about 140 extra mile to come to my house.
Man, Bears tickets are expensive. I went to their website for individual game tix and, while they don't go on sale until mid-July, the cheapest seats start at $106 all the way up to $430 .

Buy them off vivid seats. I bought 2 tix to the Ravens game section 117 row 2 for $102 each. I always use them they seem to be the cheapest.

Meh, I would say 9-7 is conservative with 11-5 is the top end.

I just happen to be of the opinion that this years team is better than last years team is all......and of course assuming all of the key players stay healthy.

I just bought Ravens tickets from that site too. We'll have to meet up before that game. They like their service charge on that site. I still got a pretty good deal, Section 105 Row 9 for $161.

I think it would cost that much just to walk by that section at a Bears game. I may just go the scalper route in Chicago. I just can't get myself to pay $500+ for a pair of not very good seats. If you want good seats, it's upwards of $650 for a pair, and you'd be lucky to find that.
