Here's the plot hole for anyone that's interested (or cares): :)

If Peter absorbed the Haitian's power, in theory wouldn't that mean that Peter could never absorb powers again? How could he even get near someone with a power if him just being there renders it inert?
I'm just seeing this. Just because a power is rendered inert doesn't mean it isn't there. I don't think this was a plot hole at all.

Plus it's not like the Haitian had multiple powers. We would have no way of knowing if he did, would the 2nd power work? With Syler it's already determined that some could posses multiple powers.

Maybe you should have been one of the writers. Considering they never inferred that anyone other than Sylar had multiple powers, it's hard to say "maybe this, maybe that". Their world was an unplanned mess that they could never get right.

If Peter touched Sylar would he get all his powers?

This show jumped the shark in season 2. The first season was incredible.

Question:

what was the exact moment this show turned south?

The concept of the show makes for a better mini series then a weekly hour long drama, there were only so many ways to go esp after the way they ended season one, i was waiting for the war between the people with abilities and everyone else. I think thats where they missed the boat.

Just simply stating that it's not unreasonable to assume out of all those with powers across the globe there were those that had multiple abilities. Also, correct me if I am wrong but in one of the "future" episodes, Peter was wielding multiple powers in a fight with Sylar. Maybe I am remembering wrong?
