Millenium...now that was a good show. I'm surprised the creators never were really up to the task of equalling that effort.

I loved that show! It pissed me off that FOX took it off the air before the year 2000.

Do me a favor and cross your finger for me. My Boss(one of the co-creators - but subsequently booted off LOST) - who I've been working with for the 5 months as his writer's assistant - and I just turned in our Pilot for an hour long drama on FOX and are waiting to hear back from them if it's gonna get picked up. If it does - it likely could lead to my first paid writing gig out in Lala land so I'm asking for some ASFN karma. Wish us luck.

Just heard Fox ok'd an hour long drama about a space ship going to the dark side of the moon, and getting stranded, etc. With weird things happening.

no - actually - most of you probably won't watch it I think. It's gonna be relatively soapy. We're trying to strike a Nip/Tuck tone(which if you don't watch that show or haven't gotten a chance to see it - it's unbelievable) but right now - all we're getting is black tip - no flames yet.

My boss is trying to capitalize on the whole "family running" such and such business and diving into that world. It could be fun and trashy - but it also has potential to fall into bad WB type nonsense. When/if we here word it's a go - I'll give you guys the breakdown - but it ain't no dark side of the moon-Lost-millenium-esque drama.

I watch the show and one of the best shows around IMO and season 1 dvd is on my christmas wish list.

that show was brilliant also - it just screwed being put in a REALLY bad time slot - it's target audience was pretty much us - PEOPLE IN THEIR MID-TWENTIES-MID-LATE THIRTIES- but who the hell is watching TV on Saturday nigth at 9 o'clock. NBC just didn't know how to market that show either. King - have you seen the enitre series? They have the last four episodes that never aired on the DVD collection and they are awesome - especially the last episode and the episode where Bush I comes to speak to their school and the daughter gets to ask him one question (great cameo work by Ben Stiller in that one also.

Between Nip/Tuck and Freaks and Geeks - I think those two shows have been the absolute gold standard as far as one hour programs - with Lost running a close third.
