You might have posted this elsewhere and I must have missed it...

How did you hook up with the Cards as your team? Why not some glamour team ala Dallas, Oakland, Chicago, SF?

I am glad you are here. BTW - my girlfriend and I are talking about making a trip your way. Maybe we can hook up in a pub and do that English thing :)

it was about 17 years ago - when i was in school (i am now 28) when NFL was pretty big in the UK and all the kids were swopping playing cards in the yard !! i needed i team to support and one of my freinds dads worked in the US and brought him back a Dallas Cowboys helmet and jersey and a Skins one for his brother - so we were all like WOW we need to get into this.

i just looked through all the teams and thought that the cards looked cool (their badge was cool) and the main factor was that they play in Red & White like my soccer team Sunderland - so that was that, all the other kids were Bears (because of the Fridge),Dolphins or 49rs. Little did i know that the Cards would put me through the same as Sunderland(poor season after season) But hey the blood is cardinal red now - so heres to Neil Lomax (the swap card i never got) and happier times under Denny Green

GO BIG RED

I watched Man. U play Southampton last night. Exciting game, even though Man. U won. I don't like Man. U. They are the Yankees of the premier League.

I see that Sunderland is doing well in Div. 1. How high do they have to finish to get promoted to the premiership?

Don't hold this against me, but my club is Barca. I was disappointed when Beckham signed with Real Madrid. I was hoping to see him at the Nou Camp this season.

top two go up and next 4 play off for one remaining spot in Prem League. - we were in Prem last season but got relegated though :(

Kevin Phillips (scored 2 for Soton last night) is a Sunderland Legend BTW we had to sell him at the start of the seaon beacuase we neede the money but he scored 130 goals in 150 games or something Super Kev the greatest player i have ever seen play for Sunderland

How many people have gone wrong by going by uniforms... I remember a small boy who thought Viking uniforms and helmets looked really cool a few decades ago... what pain was to come from that fateful decision... that boy also liked the Raiders uniforms just not as much DOH!

Hey English what is the word across the pond on the US in the world cup?

Most of the world other than our english brothers would die if we won the cup! And we can pretty close last time!

I bet 3 yugoslavians my 0 dollars to their 1000 that the US would win one of the next 3 world cups. And with Freddy Adu at what 15 years old? I think we have a great shot!

Imagine if our top athletes played soccer? Jordan? bryant? Shaq in goal lol

problem is that you ahve only been taking football( round) serious for about 10 years and the rest of the world have been playing for over 100 -- kids in US play Football, baseball or basketball before soccer until that shows signs of change then nothing will change - when it does though worl wtach out !!!!!

Claudio Reyna was sold at the be Sunderland at the start of the season also - he is US captian and one hell of player, one of my favs when playing for us

Actually before they got their new uniforms the Pats used to be a primarily Red and White team. You might have picked them way back when.
