Hello, my name is Andrew and I am new here. You can call me a bandwagoner, but I follow Shaq, I always have. I absolutely loved the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade and will be a fan of his forever.

However, it is my obligation to move on and become a Suns fan. I will admit, I have secretly liked the Suns since they acquired Nash many seasons ago and now I can say it.

Sure you might not want me here, but please know I am extremely passionate about basketball and I will devote my fandom to the Suns with every ounce of my being. I will LOVE this team and support them and I will be a staple on these forums.

Please note that I am extremely passionate, to give you an example, I just left this on the Heat forum…

I have always loved sports, more importantly basketball. Since I can remember I rooted for Shaquille O’Neal, he was and still is my favorite athlete and much more. I absolutely love the man’s dominance and charisma.

I started my basketball fandom in Florida with the Orlando Magic and in a few years, the shift to being a Lakers fan consumed me. I was all about the Los Angeles Lakers, they could do no wrong in my eyes.

I was completely dumbfounded when Shaq was traded to Miami, but knew in my heart it was for the best. Just the way some of the guys on the team carried themselves (Bryant) it was easy to let go and move on.

Sure I got called a bandwagoner and stuff when I first started coming to this forum. However, this team was different. The moment I came here I was a Miami Heat fan. I absolutely loved and still love the Heat. I admire the whole team, especially O’Neal and Wade, but I love all the past and current players along with Riley too.

So if this rumor turns out to be true. It ends this chapter in my life and I am sad and guilty to see it go. You can call me a bandwagoner all you want, but I am first and foremost a Shaq fan and I go where he goes. I have always been like that.

I seriously thought this was his last team and I was completely shocked to hear about all of this in the matter of hours. I have an ill feeling in the pit of my stomach right now.

It pains me to just up and leave the Heat, but I have to. I owe it to Shaquille O’Neal. Words can’t express how much that man means to me.

I feel more guilty than anything…leaving this behind in the matter of hours. I don’t want any ill feelings towards me, but if you have some, I am not shocked.

Dwyane Wade is and always will be a huge part of my life and I will be a fan of his forever.

Lastly, I want to apologize to all of my friends I have made year over the years. I am sorry it turned out this way and I am beyond sad it ends here….

I’m a Suns fan now. Doesn’t matter how you become a fan, its how you show your fandom.

Sorry if I sound sceptical.. But from your your track record, you dont sound as if you will be a staple on this board.. You sound like a Warnerite..

Welcome aboard.

As a loyal Shaq follower, what are your thoughts on his current state of health, his desire for another ring, and his recent slackings in Miami? There are rumors he just wasnt giving 100% recently due to lack of motivation, and others say he is riddled with injuries. His weight is down and he has been reported to be ecstatic to be here. We would appreciate your opinion on our big glaring questions.

His current state of health has been pretty consistent the last few seasons. Every season he has nagging injuries that make him take some time off, but always turns it up when he is back. His desire for another ring is evident, especially since we joined this team. He didn't want his legacy tarnished by losing in his last few seasons. He WILL make a difference and get this team a ring, sooner or later. In Miami, he was slacking because of the lack of getting the man the ball in the paint. They would get it to him early, but then "forget" as the game moved forward. Plus he wasn't as motivated, knowing that team would not make the playoffs.

His slacking is a combination of frustration and nagging injuries. But as you can tell, he isn't as hurt as the media thought he was and has even lost weight and probably has his knees and hips working just fine.

He was a good acquistion to the Suns.

New here too....Long time Suns fan...native to Arizona, constantly battling the bandwagon Californians who root for the opposite while living in this state.

I promise you, unlike the other new guy "andrew" I don't follow one particular player around and weird you guys out.

sheesh...that guy probably has a Shaq shrine in his house with Kazzaam posters in every room and such.
